A Shared Commitment to Inclusion Leads to $1 Million Gift to Montgomery College from Virginia…
Montgomery College is pleased to announce a new alliance with Arizona State University to provide students a seamless transfer experience with the MyPath2ASU program. MyPath2ASU™ allows students to take the steps needed, at the start of their college experience, to successfully plan their transfer to ASU, ensuring a smooth transition process and student success.
MyPath2ASU™ is a set of customized tools available to transfer students from accredited, U.S. regional institutions. These tools ensure a seamless transfer experience to ASU after earning credits or an associate degree from a U.S. community college or university and shortening the time to degree completion.
“Montgomery College is excited to add ASU’s MyPath2ASU™ program as another viable option for our students as they continue their educational pursuits,” said Dr. Sanjay Rai, senior vice president for Academic Affairs. “We know our students are looking for high transferability and assurance that every credit counts. In addition, our students are not just looking for a traditional college experience. Over the past four years our online enrollment has increased 49 percent, so we are pleased to have this affordable, flexible, and seamless online pathway to completion to help our students achieve their goals.”
Through this partnership, students using MyPath2ASU™ will find their transfer experience simplified. They will have access to personalized benefits to help them navigate the transfer experience, to include:
“Our partnership with Montgomery College facilitates the connected MyPath2ASU™ transfer experience,” Cheryl Hyman, ASU vice provost for Academic Alliances, said. “The ASU transfer community is dedicated to meeting students’ college navigation needs and intentionally integrating educational support programs in collaboration with our partners for all students’ learning and development stages. Ensuring that students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree have access to the resources and tools to enable seamless transfer journeys into Arizona State University.”
ASU and MC will work collaboratively to promote educational degree pathways containing ground and online course offerings. These pathways will ensure their courses are applicable toward their degree in their chosen major and minimize credit loss.
Montgomery College’s distance education offering includes 400 credit classes plus courses year-round with six fully online degree programs and two fully online certificates. ASU offers more than 400 pathways into an on-ground or online ASU undergraduate degree program, further expanding the number of fully accredited options for students who choose to take advantage of this partnership.
