Livingston was recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America National 30 Under 30 program and was honored as the National JUCO Assistant Coach of the Year in 2014.
Prior to Montgomery College, Livingston was the director of soccer operations for Georgetown University. During his tenure, the team captured a Big East championship and made the second round of the NCAA Tournament. A four-year letter winner and a three-year starter at Howard University, Livingston was also named to the All-Atlantic Soccer Conference and All Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference academic team every year.
Former George Mason University volleyball standout Marie Cornejo-Steel is the new head volleyball coach at Montgomery College. She comes to MC from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School where she coached the co-ed and girls varsity teams. Cornejo-Steel played girls varsity and co-ed volleyball at Watkins Mill High School and was a member of the 1997 state championship team.
Keith Byrd, a Montgomery College alumnus, is the new head coach of the men’s basketball team. He was the assistant varsity coach at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, one of the top high school basketball programs in the nation. Byrd has coached players in Montgomery County for over 10 years including former state Gatorade Player of Year Jamaal Wise. Many of Byrd’s former players have played basketball both collegiately and professionally. He played for the Montgomery College-Rockville basketball team that won a regional championship and advanced to the national championship tournament.
Dayna Hinton is the new head coach for cheerleading. A former cheerleader for University of Maryland, Hinton has coached all-star, high school and collegiate cheerleading programs in Maryland and Delaware.
