Free Tickets Available for STEP AFRIKA! Performance Highlighting Montgomery College Humanities Days, Oct. 17
The Global Humanities Institute and the Paul Peck Humanities Institute at Montgomery College have organized three days of student work, poster sessions, moderated films, faculty presentations, writing workshops and a capstone performance to celebrate “Humanities Days.”
The performance is by renowned dance troupe, STEP AFRIKA!, Thursday, October 17 at the Cultural Arts Center on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, beginning at 7 p.m. in Theatre 1. Blending percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, African traditional dance and influences from a variety of other dance and art forms, STEP AFRIKA’s! electrifying performance has become a must-see in the DC metro area.
