Montgomery College Has What Parents Want: Over 200 Fun and Educational Summer Programs for Kids!
Montgomery College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education offers both full and half-day summer enrichment courses for kids of all ages. The courses allow youth to explore new areas of interest or receive in-depth instruction in some of their favorite subjects, from science and art to writing and acting, as well as favorite activities such as tennis and baseball. Courses are taught at each of the College’s three campuses–Germantown, Rockville and Takoma Park/Silver Spring.
Here is just one sample of this summer’s offerings designed to get kids learning new skills, improving having fun while learning:
Black Rocket Program The new Black Rocket program brings the digital arts and STEM programs to life. Students are able to use their creativity to move their ideas from concept to creation and from pre-production to premiere. These programs include LEGO Games, a one-week course combining LEGOS and video games create adventures in an interactive 2-D game; And Lightz! Camera! Action!, a one-week course that teaches students how to make their own short movies.
