Montgomery College Alumni Association to Host Art-filled Evening of Fun, Food, and Music, Oct. 23
The Montgomery College Alumni Association invites you to “Come for an evening, go home with a work of art, and support a dream” at its second “Mobile Masterpieces” fundraiser for student scholarships. The artful event is set for Saturday, October 23, 2010, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. in The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center at the College’s Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus.
Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Bob Levey, former columnist for the Washington Post.
Mobile Masterpieces features original, juried artwork donated by artists who represent a diverse spectrum of forms and media—paintings, illustrations, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and mixed media.
A limited number of tickets corresponding to the exact number of masterpieces will be sold. Tickets are $100 each. Ticketholders’ names will be drawn at random, after which they will choose from among these magnificent works of art. Ticketholders are also welcome to bring a guest.
