Defending National Champion #1 Nassau, #2 Bunker Hill, #4 Camden County and #6 Montgomery College Square Off at Maryland SoccerPlex
WHO: National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men’s Soccer Teams: Camden County College, Nassau Community College, Bunker Hill Community College, Prince George’s Community College and Montgomery College.
The Raptors will play Camden County College Saturday at 1:15 p.m., Nassau Sunday at 12:15 p.m. and Bunker Hill Monday at 1:30 p.m.
Other matchups include Prince George’s vs. Nassau at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Bunker Hill vs. Camden at 4 p.m. on Sunday
WHAT: To honor the legacy of Tom Bichy, Montgomery College’s longtime men’s soccer coach and hall of famer who passed away in 2014, the College hosts an annual tournament featuring some of the top teams in the country. The tournament is in round robin format with a champion crowned Monday.
Tom Bichy started the soccer program at MC and was the head Coach for 37 years. When he retired in 2005, he held the record for most wins by an NJCAA soccer coach – with 471 victories. During his years at MC, Bichy was also a professor in the physical education department and the Rockville Campus athletic director for 24 years.
