Montgomery College Creates New Business Program for Working Adults Montgomery College Accelerated Program in Business Offers Cost-Effective Path to a Two-Year Business Degree
Beginning in fall 2011, Montgomery College will offer a new academic business program at the Germantown Campus designed to help working adults complete an associate’s degree in two years. The Montgomery College Accelerated Program (MCAP) in business will provide students a cost saving and convenient academic curriculum. Students can take MCAP classes online, in the classroom, or both.
With guidance from College advisers, students will advance academically on pace with a full-time student. The program is designed for students who aspire to earn an associate’s degree in business and transfer to a four-year college or university. As members of a “cohort,” students will progress through the program with familiar faces and similar goals, which has proven effective for adult learners.
MCAP will teach essential business concepts through relevant coursework and opportunities such as researching real-world corporations, writing business plans, and examining today’s social and corporate ethics. Applicants are asked to apply for the program by June 29, 2011, by filling out the application form located at http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/MCAP. The cost of the MCAP is $110 per credit hour.
