Susan Lasker Dankoff Named Director of Development at Montgomery College
Montgomery College is pleased to welcome Susan Lasker Dankoff as its new director of development. Susan will join the College’s Office of Institutional Advancement on September 27, 2010.
Dankoff comes to Montgomery College from the U.S. Diplomacy Center, where she served as chief development officer. In this role, she launched a $50 million capital campaign to build a museum and education center at the U.S. Department of State and raised the campaign’s first lead gift of $5 million.
Prior to the U.S. Diplomacy Center, she served as vice president, managing partner (Washington, D.C. office) and senior consultant for Skystone Ryan, Inc., an international fundraising consulting firm.
Among the many institutions she has served during her fundraising career are Gallaudet University, Virginia State University, Shady Grove and Washington Adventist Hospitals, Washington Performing Arts Society, Chicago Academy of the Arts, Children’s Medical Research Institute (Oklahoma City), ActionAid International USA, and National Wildlife Federation. She also has been a frequent conference presenter on the topics of grantsmanship, capital campaigns, board development, and major gift solicitations.
Dankoff graduated from The George Washington University with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and has lived in Montgomery County for more than 25 years.
