Montgomery College Listening Sessions to Inform Presidential Search Process

Sessions Open to the Public on April 14 at All Campuses
The Montgomery College Presidential Search Advisory Committee invites the community to share their thoughts at a series of listening sessions about the search for the next president of Montgomery College on Wednesday, April 14. The locations and times of the sessions are as follows:

  • 9:45–10:43 a.m. – Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, Performing Arts Center, Theatre 1
  • 9:45–10:45 a.m. – Germantown Campus, Globe Hall
  • 10:30–11:30 a.m. – Rockville Campus, Theatre Arts Arena

The information gathered at the listening sessions will be important to the committee as it establishes interview questions and evaluates responses by the candidates for the position of president. The community is asked to share thoughts about their interests and ideals, inspiring success stories resulting from the College, and the significant challenges facing the College.

To prepare for the presidential search, the committee recently created a position profile to guide the search process. The profile outlines the presidential responsibilities at Montgomery College, identifies the experience and qualifications necessary for the position, and highlights some of the challenges that will face the next president. This profile was created with input and approval of the Montgomery College Board of Trustees.
