Montgomery College Ethics Debate Team Wins Championship
The Montgomery College ethics debate team won first place in the Seventh Annual Maryland Community College Ethics Bowl held recently at Anne Arundel Community College. Eight Maryland community college teams competed for the title. The Montgomery College debaters, led by Philosophy Professor Daniel G. Jenkins, met over the course of a semester to practice their debate skills and discuss the ethical case studies covered in the debate. The three participants, Bianca Eulitz, Rebecca Levy, and Shaun Vaughn, are philosophy students involved with the new Philosophy Club at the College’s Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus.
The Ethics Bowl is sponsored by the Hoffberger Center for Professional Ethics at the University of Baltimore.
